A Peek Inside the Lesson

This is the real lesson text your child hears, read aloud by a friendly voice.

Dividing asks: how many of these fit into that? 2 ÷ 1/2 = 4 halves.

Keep, change, flip: keep the first fraction, change ÷ to ×, flip the second fraction.

3/4 ÷ 1/2 = 3/4 × 2/1 = 6/4 = 3/2, which is 1 and a half.

The flipped fraction is called the reciprocal. The reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2.
