Ancient China grew along the Yellow River and the Yangtze River.

China was ruled by families called dynasties, like the Qin, Han and Tang.

The first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, joined walls into the Great Wall and was buried with a Terracotta Army of 8,000 clay soldiers.

China invented silk, paper, printing, the compass and gunpowder.

Confucius taught respect for family, learning and fairness. His ideas still matter today.
