ContractionsGrade 2 English for Kids

Do not = don't! Two words squeezed into one.

Contractions teaches second graders how two words join and an apostrophe takes the place of missing letters: do not becomes don't. The apostrophe is filled in, so kids focus on the letters and the meaning.
