A Peek Inside the Lesson

This is the real lesson text your child hears, read aloud by a friendly voice.

A still life is art of things that sit still: fruit, cups, flowers.

Paul Cézanne painted apples again and again to study their shapes and colors.

Light comes from one side. The other side is in shadow.

Under each object there is a cast shadow on the table.

For parents

Try It at Home

Learning sticks best when kids use it in real life. Here are simple ideas from this course.

Parent Tip

You need: 2 or 3 pieces of fruit, A cup or bowl, A lamp or sunny window, Paper, Pencil, Crayons or colored pencils.

  1. Put fruit and a cup on a table near a lamp or window.
